Indian Round Chilli

There are well known chillies and there are chillies that have been grown for generations in remote areas of the world that are only now coming to our market

The Indian Chilli is one such pod, grown in the Saurastra Region of India and expelling local myths not everything in India is hot, quite the opposite

The Indian Round Chilli is very mild in heat, probably around 5000 SHU which is the same as most Mexican chillies, with a slightly sweet flavour that will accompany any lightly spiced dish to provide a gentle backdrop of heat

A must try for anybody who likes to cook to see the difference between chillies

Naga Chakasang Smoked

The Naga Bhut Jolokia is incredibly famous the world over for starting a revolution in the chilli world, and it wasn't made but discovered where it had been evolving for centuries

In India however, the naga has been around for a few hundred years at least, and as with all chillies the local areas grow them for generations and through cross breeding, insect pollination etc, the chilli changes into a new type

The Chakasang is from an area in India and they smoke dry the pods to preserve

These chillies are great in flavour, aroma, and heat, not as hot as a naga but a good dose for sure, authentic all the way!

Smoked dried to add a great treat of flavour!  Typically 1 pod weighs approx 2g
